The Beekman Tower Hotel is a luxury hotel located in Midtown Manhattan. This boutique hotel is situated in the middle of the Beekman, Sutton, United Nation and Tudor City neighborhoods on the east side, close to all transportation and directly off FDR Drive, making it a quiet spot for out of towners who want to engage in tourism without exposing themselves to the craziness of Times Square or other Midtown areas. Built in 1928, the hotel boasts the charm of an art deco style construction with spacious rooms not commonly found in New York City hotels.

Location
Beekman Tower is located in Midtown East on 49th Street and 1st Avenue, directly off FDR. The hotel is close to the United Nations, a short walk from Central Park, and a short cab or train ride away from Times Square. If shopping is your style, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales, Macy’s and more are close by. Many of the city’s greatest restaurants can be found in Midtown, including Smith & Wollensky, Dos Caminos, Mr. Chow and Katz’s Deli. The hotel is a bit far east in terms of public transportation, given that the 6 train is located on Park Avenue. The trade-off for this location is that you’ll get a lot more peace and quiet at Beekman Tower than you will anywhere further west. Locations closer to the train are inevitably more popular and hence, more populated – which means that even at night, they’re not quiet. New York is the city that never sleeps, but if you’re looking to sleep after a long day of tourism, your best bet is a quieter hotel further away from the hullaballoo – such as Beekman Tower.
