Soho Grand – Soho Hotels

The Soho Grand is a luxury hotel located in Manhattan’s hip shopping mecca of SoHo. Inside the sleek façade on glamorous West Broadway, the eclectic décor and top-shelf staff make the Soho Grand one of the most sought-after hotels in New York—as much a place to stay and relax as a prime destination to entertain and socialize. Think of impeccable service and décor, luxurious rooms, and a chic full-service lounge and restaurant, and you’ve just about pictured the ultimate locale for nightlife, extended visits, and weekend New York getaways. The Soho Grand, owned and developed by Leonard and Emanuel Stern of Hartz Mountain Industries, opened in August 1996, the first SoHo hotel built in more than a century. Designed by architect David Helpern and interior designer William Sofield, the New York boutique hotel redefined the model for luxury hotels from the day it opened its doors.

Location

Soho Grand offers an unparalleled location in the heart of downtown’s landmark SoHo district.  SoHo’s history as 19th-century industrial center and 20th century artists’ refuge is still seen in the vibrant area in the former factories and sprawling loft spaces reborn as upscale restaurants, stylish shops, and lavish residences. SoHo has become a stylish shopping mecca, with fashion staples such as Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Yohji Yamamoto, Prada, Chanel and small distinctive boutiques lining its cobblestone streets.  Its artistic roots still permeate the neighborhood as well;  The New Museum of Contemporary Art, Deitch Projects, The MoMA Design Store, and numerous internationally-recognized art galleries are the core of this magnificent area.  SoHo is also home to some of the finest dining in Manhattan, from classics like Cipriani, Balthazar, and Blue Ribbon to trendy establishments like Bar Pitti, Indochine and La Esquina.
